| Ramon Aldecoa Ramon earned varsity letters in 1963 and 1964 in both basketball and baseball. As the starting catcher he batted .300. The San Francisco Giants signed him out of high school and Ramon spent four years in the minor league baseball system. In 1974, Ramon switched over to fast-pitch softball where he played on two of the best teams ever assembled in Arizona, Kingman’s Turquoise Kings and Phoenix 7th Avenue Auto Parts. |

Coach Wilfred G. Austin Born in Chandler in 1901, W.G. went to Chandler and Tempe High Schools. He was a standout baseball player, as well as a good football and basketball player. After attending Tempe Normal School and playing football at the University of Arizona, W.G. came back to Chandler High to teach. He coached football, basketball and baseball for 10 years (1927-1937). His football teams won three conference championships. |

Jill Hamilton A Chandler native, Jill was a multi-sport star garnering All Conference honors in softball and tennis. She led the softball team in home runs and triples in her senior year. In tennis, she earned four letters at Chandler High, and she held national rankings on the US tennis Association’s listings from 1980 to 1986. Jill attended Arizona State University where she lettered four years in Tennis. Jill also competed on the Women’s US Tennis Association circuit for a number of years. |
| Jerry Lamb Jerry earned 12 letters in football, baseball, track and basketball during his years at Chandler High School. Jerry had a career batting average of .392 in four years of varsity baseball. In his senior year he averaged 10.8 yards a carry for the 7-3 football team. He was the 1957 Senior Athlete of the Year. Jerry later went on to play baseball for Brigham Young University. |

Raul Navarrete Raul was co-captain of the 1941 and 1942 football team that won two conference titles in a row. He also ran track and was placed second at State in the mile where his school record held for 16 years. Raul was later instrumental in the development of youth sports leagues in Chandler. |
| Bobby Noel As a four year letter winner in baseball, Bobby was an integral part of four conference championships and the 1957 State Championship team. Bobby earned All State Honors in his senior year at Chandler High. He threw the only perfect game in Chandler High School history and threw a three hitter in the State Championship game. Bob attended Brigham Young University on a baseball scholarship; where he earned All American Honors. He was the head coach at Chandler High School from 1965 to 1979, then an assistant coach at Brigham Young University from 1979 until 1999. |

| Mario Ray Mario is the son of former Chandler High School standout athlete Wardlow Ray who was inducted into the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. Mario started pole vaulting at age 8 in the family backyard. In his junior year he broke the state record, vaulting over 15ft. In his senior year he improved his own state record to 15’ 2 1/2” Mario was nationally ranked in the top five for prep vaulters in 1967. He attended Brigham Young University where he topped 15’6” before back injuries forced him to retire. |

| Larry Vanley Larry was an exceptional basketball player at Chandler High School. A state scorer in the long jump, Larry was awarded a scholarship to Mesa Community College. While attending Mesa Community College, he picked up a new event: the triple jump for which he earned top marks in the country. He earned all American honors while at Mesa Community College, and later at the University of Texas at El Paso. Larry Vanley has coached in El Paso, TX for the past 39 years. |

Eddie Wilson Eddie earned 11 varsity letters in basketball, baseball and track while at Chandler High School. He was the starting quarterback for three years, throwing over 1000 yards in his last two seasons. He attended University of Arizona on a football scholarship where he also played baseball. In 1962 he was drafted and signed by the Dallas Texans (AFL) which later became the Kansas City Chiefs. He has coached at the collegiate and pro level for the past 42 years. Currently, Eddie Wilson is the Quarterback coach at Army. |
| 1957 Chandler High School Baseball Team After finishing as the runner up for three years in a row, the Wolves finally won Chandler’s first baseball state championship by defeating Douglas 4-1. The 1957 team won 17 games and lost only two. The CHS 1957 baseball team was: Eddie Wilson, Jake Spears, Jerry Lamb, Bob Noel, Raymond Stone, Lynn Overstreet, George Burgett, James Martinez, Don Lamb, Barney Roland, Jerry Patrick, Gene Scarborough, Bob Spears, Keith Jones, Gilbert Martinez, Burley Lane, David Tucker, Coach Tom Futch |
