Chandler Historical Society

The Chandler Historical Society was founded in 1969 as a non-profit corporation in order to collect, preserve and interpret artifacts related to the history and diversity of Chandler. Through its programs, the museum enhances understanding of the development of our community, and fosters appreciation of the individuals and events that have shaped our history.

Interested in serving on the Chandler Historical Society Board of Directors?
Each Director on the Board is elected by the Chandler Historical Society membership for a three year term. Board Officers are elected for one year terms with no maximum terms served. A nominating committee comprised of a minimum of three Directors will nominate new individuals from the community who are interested in serving on the Board of Directors for the Chandler Historical Society. The membership then votes on these individuals to fill vacancies on the Board. If you are interested in serving on the Chandler Historical Society Board of Directors, contact the museum for board vacancies.

The Board of Directors are the decision makers behind the Chandler Museum. The Board’s responsibilities include upholding museum policies and procedures, adhering to museum ethics and standards and providing support in all areas of museum operations.
